The consortium established by the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and five academic research institutes has won the 70 million HUF tender 'Knowledge Depot Express: Empowering the function of libraries in non-formal and informal education towards lifelong learning', which was announced within the framework of New Hungary Development Plan's Social Renewal Operational Programme (TÁMOP).
The grant, amongst other things, will be used for making the collections of the libraries of the Chemical Research Center, Institute of Ecology and Botany, the Institute for Psychology, the Institute for Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry and the Institute for World Economy and a considerable part of the collection of the Library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences searchable over the internet from the autumn of 2011.
